NASA ECLIPSE SOUNDSCAPES

The Observer page
Eclipse Soundscapes invites people to observe and record how eclipses affect the natural world. My classmate Lia Cociorva and I focused on one part of that invitation: the Observer page.
We followed the participation path for blind and low-vision participants, looking closely at navigation, language, order, and the places where the page became hard to move through independently.
From findings to a working model
We turned the research into recommendations, an interactive prototype, and a presentation for NASA stakeholders. The prototype made each suggestion concrete. Instead of leaving a navigation problem in a list of findings, we could show how a different sequence might work.
The deck kept the reasoning beside the interface decisions. Access was not a finishing pass. It shaped how the path had to be described, ordered, and understood from the start. The work ended with research, recommendations, prototype development, and presentation. Implementation has not been verified.
